의류학과

이혜원 교수는 가톨릭대학교 의류학과 조교수로, 패션테크놀로지, 의류소재디자인, 패션미학을 전공으로 하고 있다. 서울대학교 의류학과에서 박사학위를 받았으며, 실무경력으로, 태광산업 방적사업부, Mode-C의 패션 컨설팅 회사대표, 연구경력으로 조선대학교의 IT융합신기술연구센터의 연구교수, 상명대학교의 문화기술융합연구소의 연구교수, 그리고 강의경력으로 서울대학교 및 고려대학교를 비롯한 많은 대학교에서 강의하였다. 이 교수는 패션 테크 융합을 비롯하여 웨어러블 디바이스, 의류폐기물을 이용한 소재 개발, 그리고 패션 문화 현상 분석과 연관된 다양한 연구 주제로 다양한 국가과제 프로젝트를 수행중이다.

Professor Lee Hye-won is an associate professor in the Department of Clothing and Textiles, specializing in fashion technology, clothing material design, and fashion aesthetics. She earned her doctoral degree from Seoul National University's Department of Clothing and Textiles. With practical experience in the field, she has worked in the textile business division of Taekwang Industrial and served as the representative of Mode-C, a fashion consulting company.
In terms of research, Professor Lee has held positions as a research professor at Chosun University's IT Convergence New Technology Research Center and as a research professor at Sangmyung University's Institute of Cultural Technology Convergence. She has actively participated in various national projects related to fashion technology integration. Additionally, she has an extensive teaching career, having taught at several universities, including Korea University.
Currently, Professor Lee is actively engaged in diverse research projects, with a focus on fashion technology integration, wearable devices, material development utilizing clothing waste, and the analysis of fashion cultural phenomena.

이경화 교수는 의류설계생산 세부전공으로 이화여자대학교에서 박사학위를 받았다. 1995년~1998년 원광대학교 조교수 역임 후 1998년부터 가톨릭대학교에서 근무하고 있다.  산업자원부 한국인 인체치수조사사업(Size Korea Project)의 공동연구원으로 참여하였고, KS 의류치수체계를 수차례 제∙개정한 경험이 있다. 인체측정분야 및 의류치수분야에서 국내를 대표하는 전문가로 인정받고 있다. 최근 관심분야는 3D 가상착의, 헬스케어 의류 개발, 지속가능한 패션교육분야로 다양한 연구 및 산학협동연구를 진행하고 있다.
학생들을 위한 진로, 취업 상담분야는  패턴메이커, 모델리스트, 3D가상의복디자이너,  테크니컬 디자이너, 무대의상 디자이너 및 아트 디렉터 등이 있다.

Professor, Kyong-Hwa Yi earned a doctorate from Ewha Womans University with a specialization in clothing technical design and production. She has been working at Catholic University since 1998 after serving as an assistant professor at Wonkwang University(1995-1998). She worked as a co-researcher of Size Korea project, for the "Ministry of Commerce, Industry & Energy" and established and revised the "KS clothing size system". She is especially recognized as a leading domestic expert in the field of anthropometry & apparel sizing.  Her current areas of interest include 3D virtual fitting, healthcare clothing wearable development, and sustainable fashion education, where she is conducting various research and industry-academia collaborations.
Her counseling areas for students seeking career paths and employment include pattern makers, modelists, 3D virtual clothing designers, technical designers, and stage costume designers & fashion art directors.

패션 비평 방법론과 조형적 연구를 중심으로 현대 패션 디자인의 이론적 토대를 탐구하고 있다. 서울대학교 미술대학 동양화과와 의류학과를 졸업한 후 영국 Central Saint Martins에서 Fashion Diploma를 취득하였으며, 서울대학교에서 현대 패션 비평 모델 개발을 주제로 의류학 박사학위를 받았다. SCIE급 국제학술지를 포함하여 다수의 논문을 발표하였으며, 섬유공학, 신소재, 교육학 등 다양한 분야와의 융합연구를 통해 패션 디자인 연구의 지평을 확대하고 있다. 패션 작품 및 패션 일러스트레이션 작품 활동으로 도쿄와 서울에서 개인전, 초대전을 개최하는 등 연구와 창작 활동을 병행하며 학문과 예술을 모두 아우르는 작업을 이어가고 있다.

Her research focuses on the theoretical foundations of contemporary fashion, with particular emphasis on fashion criticism methodology and formative research. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Oriental Painting and a Bachelor of Science in Clothing and Textiles from Seoul National University, and a Graduate Diploma in Fashion from Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London. She received her Master’s and Ph.D. from the Department of Fashion and Textiles at Seoul National University, where her doctoral dissertation focused on the development of a contemporary fashion criticism model. She has published in multiple academic journals, including SCIE-indexed journals, and continues to expand the scope of fashion design research through interdisciplinary collaborations in textile engineering, advanced materials, and education. Alongside her academic work, she maintains an active creative practice, having held solo exhibitions and participated in invitational exhibitions in Tokyo and Seoul.
